Today, I want to take aim at the way pickup is thought of and the way pickup is practiced currently.
See, to me, here’s a rough definition of what pickup is.
Pickup: A set of tools, understandings, and behaviors designed to allow you to have sex and create relationships with the girl or girls of your choice.
I hope you roughly agree with that definition. Let me know, in the comments, if you don’t.
There are are a couple things that aren’t in that definition. Namely, there are no qualifications like, “as long as she’s by herself and easily accessible.” There is also no limitation that you have to do pickup “as you are,” that you can’t improve your life situation, appearance or access to girls.
See, for me it’s all about results. With that in mind, I want to know the truth, and I’m willing to do the work. I’m not interested in quick fixes that limit me in the long run.
So, with that said, let’s look at a pickup belief: “Looks don’t matter.”
This a “useful fiction” used to get guys to take action rather than give themselves excuses. It really should be phrased as “looks can be overcome if you’re good enough.” As we see in this video:
So that’s a limitation in principle. Let’s talk about a limitation in practice:
Most guys nowadays don’t approach girls in groups. Which means that about 80-90% of girls are “off limits” for them. And this is the hottest 80-90%.
These same guys then complain that “pickup is bullshit,” or that “you can only get 7s with pickup.”
Well, if that’s the case, you’re not doing pickup right. Here is the treatise on “group theory”… or how to meet the girls you actually want even when they’re with friends.
I hope you enjoyed those videos, and I hope they give you an expanded window into what’s possible with pickup.
